NAIFA Congressional Conference

By NAIFA-North Dakota on 2/3/26 4:20 PM

The Premier Advocacy Event for Financial Professionals

May 18-19, 2026 | Capital Hilton | Washington, D.C.

About the Event

Every year, NAIFA members from all 50 states come together in Washington, D.C., for the Congressional Conference, the signature advocacy event for the financial service profession.

This is your opportunity to stand united with fellow advisors, tell your story directly to lawmakers, and help shape the policies that affect your practice, your clients, and Main Street families across the country.

Through your presence on Capitol Hill, you represent the trusted advisors who ensure Americans can save, plan, protect, and retire with dignity. Your voice is essential and policymakers want to hear it.

Two Powerful Days

Day One (May 18): Training, Messaging & Mission Alignment

Our first day equips every attendee, from returning advocates to first-timers, with the clarity, confidence, and unified message needed to make a real impact. You’ll receive in-depth policy briefings, advocacy training, and expert insights.

Day Two (May 19): Day on the Hill

This is when your training becomes action. NAIFA members meet with senators, representatives, and congressional staff to advocate for policies that protect consumers, support small businesses, and strengthen the work you do every day as a trusted financial professional.

A Message from our 2026 North Dakota President

By Jessica Westgard Larson on 1/13/26 2:41 PM

Happy New Year, NAIFA-North Dakota Community!

January 1st marked a new year for NAIFA Leadership, and we are in the process of updating our website Leader page to reflect our new board. Please join me in thanking our 2025 State President, Stacy Norton, for her work in guiding us through a successful legislative session, reaching our IFAPAC goals, and achieving NAIFA Certified Leadership Board status. Many members of Stacy’s board will continue into my term, but we have some new faces with fresh ideas joining us as well!

Important events to highlight coming up in 2026:

  • March Madness: We were incredibly successful in reaching our IFAPAC fundraising goals through this event in 2025 and plan to repeat it in 2026. Please be ready to help North Dakota rise through the ranks in late February and throughout March!
  • April 28-29 NAIFA-ND Success Summit: Cued Up for Success – in addition to a lineup of great speakers and spending time with our NAIFA colleagues, we are planning a fun evening tournament of games to support a North Dakota Life Happens Scholarship and Make-a-Wish of North Dakota
  • May 18-19 Congressional Conference – you do NOT need to be on the board to attend Congressional Conference! In fact, the first 100 FIRST-TIMERS to register will get a $500 travel stipend! Register by 2/8 for a $50 registration discount. We also have some budget within ND to support attendees. Contact me if you’d like to join me at Con-Con.
  • November 9-11 Protectors Vegas will be this year’s national NAIFA event. The National Leadership Conference will also be held in conjunction with the Protectors Vegas conference at The Venetian Las Vegas.
  • NAIFA-Live Watch Parties are happening most months in Fargo and Minot. In addition to the great online presenters, lunch is provided for our NAIFA friends.
  • NAIFA National has an aggressive goal of doubling our membership in 2026. Please help us reach this goal by bringing a guest to any of these events! Non-members are welcome to register for the Success Summit, and if they join NAIFA at the event, their registration fee will be refunded!

Thank you for entering 2026 as a NAIFA Member, and for sticking with us through the years. I hope to see you at a NAIFA event soon!

Create an exponential leap in business results by leveraging the same performance mindsets used by the most successful athletes, artists, and leaders of all time.

What separates the top 1% of advisors from everyone else? It’s not more advanced tools and products. It’s not more certifications. It’s not their pedigree or the country club they belong to. It’s how they think about every part of their business.

In this presentation, we’ll dive deep into the culture of performance. First, we present and dissect what modern neuro and behavioral science tells us about high performers. Next, we look at the three ways advisors choose to “play the game”—playing not to lose, playing to play, and playing to win—and why those mindsets persist. From there we move to assessment, helping attendees quantify performance in the five most critical areas of their business, and finally, we culminate in actionable takeaways every advisor can use to level up their results.
