Each year, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – North Dakota (NAIFA–North Dakota) recognizes a member who exemplifies the very best of our profession. This distinguished honor celebrates an advisor who has demonstrated excellence in their practice, made meaningful contributions to their local affiliate and state association, actively served their community, and dedicated a significant portion of their career to the insurance and financial services industry.

At the 2023 NAIFA–North Dakota Success Summit, the association proudly renamed its most prestigious honor—the Advisor of the Year Award—to the Lindsey N. Vogel Advisor of the Year Award in tribute to Lindsey’s remarkable legacy.

Lindsey was a devoted NAIFA member who served at both the local and state levels, and she regularly participated in Congressional Conferences and Performance + Purpose conferences. As a proud third-generation leader within NAIFA–North Dakota, she carried forward a deep commitment to advocacy, professional development, and service.

Although Lindsey’s life was tragically cut short, her impact on our association and our profession endures. Her leadership, dedication, and passion continue to inspire advisors across North Dakota, and this award stands as a lasting reminder of the standard of excellence she embodied.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Lindsey N. Vogel Advisor of the Year and will remain open until March 31st.

NAIFA Announces E4 Insurance Services as the Recipient of the Inaugural Financial Security Champion of the Year Award 

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) is proud to announce that E4 Insurance Services, led by Managing Partners Dan Peterson, LUTCF, LLIF, FIC, Brendon DeRouin, CLU, ChFC, LACP, RICP, and Steve Bergee, LACP, is the first recipient of the prestigious Financial Security Champion award. This accolade recognizes firms that have made significant investments and commitments to NAIFA membership and its mission to empower financial professionals and consumers through world-class advocacy and education.

Advisor Today, the official publication of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), is pleased to announce that Steven Walker, LUTCF, of Gate City Insurance in Fargo, ND, loyal member since 2009, is a winner of a 2021 Four Under Forty award. Additional winners this year are J. Cal Anderson, CFP, CLU, of Ameriprise Financial in Alpharetta, GA, loyal member since 2008; Joanna Dellosa, LUTCF, FSS, RICP, LACP, CLU, of Wilshire Group Financial Services in Los Angeles, loyal member since 2012; and Rebecca Schulter, LUTCF, of UCL Financial Group in Memphis, TN, loyal member since 2015.
